SENIOR LIVING WITH A HELPING HAND
Assisted Living is about helping you maintain as much independence as possible, while helping with daily tasks like dressing, bathing and medication management. It's as much or as little assistance as you'd like - you're the boss.
Private, light-filled apartments ranging from cozy studio sizes to two bedroom suites. Staff on site 24/7. Meals, housekeeping and laundry included, along with any additional assistance you might like.
We're the only all-inclusive Assisted Living community in Iowa City. No a la carte charges or levels of care. All-inclusive Assisted Living means you don't have to worry about asking for help - it's all included in your rent, and you'll never be charged extra for it.
MEALS
Three meals per day, served in our bright dining room. No assigned seats, no need to order ahead. Just have a seat and choose from a couple of different options on our rotating seasonal menu. Or, enjoy homemade soup and fresh salad at our weekday salad bar!
Assisted Living apartments are also equipped with a kitchenette, which includes a microwave and full-size refrigerator with top freezer, so you can still have your favorite snacks on hand! Ice cream, anyone?
Please note that while we are unable to accommodate restricted or special diets, we make every effort to offer choices that accommodate needs and preferences.
HOUSEKEEPING & LAUNDRY
Weekly housekeeping services, including vacuuming, mopping, kitchens and bathrooms.
Personal and linen laundry services are also provided weekly.
Laundry is washed in individual loads to cut back on any mix-ups, and we can use your detergent!
PERSONAL CARE SERVICES
Get help with medication management, bathing, dressing, grooming, getting up and to the bathroom, reminders for meals and activities, and other daily tasks, like making the bed or putting on compression hose.
Think about it - if you had a little help with these things, you just might have more time and energy for the fun stuff!
Self-Directed Care means you tell us what you'd like help with, and we'll be there, day or night, 24/7. We want to help you be as independent as possible, while making sure everyday tasks are accomplished safely.
TRANSPORTATION
Weekday transportation for appointments or errands. Our friendly van drivers will drop you off at the door and pick you up when you're done.
No group grocery trips here: You tell us when and where you'd like to go in Iowa City, Coralville, or North Liberty, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
WELLNESS AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
From fitness classes to cards and games, spiritual activities to arts and crafts, there are endless opportunities to stay active and have fun with friends and neighbors.
All activities and common areas are for both Independent and Assisted Living residents. Mix and mingle!
We also have Certified Personal Trainers on staff, so you can schedule one-on-one sessions as you like - all at no charge.
Personal health club, anyone?
MAINTENANCE
We've got you covered! Say goodbye to home repairs and upkeep-no more mowing, shoveling, or hauling the trash out to the curb - in Assisted Living, our friendly staff come by twice a day to empty yours!
And if a faucet or fixture happens to need some attention, just let us know - it's all included!
UTILITIES, CABLE AND INTERNET
You take care of your phone, we'll take care of the rest.
Residents bring their own televisions and computers. Wi-fi is provided in our community common areas. For wireless internet connection in your own apartment, simply provide your own router so you can set up your personal secure wireless network.

Clean, climate-controlled spaces in our secure underground parking garage.
$75 monthly fee applies. Outside parking also available, at no charge.
PETS WELCOME
Pets are family, and they're always welcome at Melrose!
Please note: Residents must be able to care for their pet on their own. Additional deposit and restrictions apply.
SHOPPING SERVICE
Need a few items from the store? Make a short list, and our driver will pick them up for you and deliver to your apartment.
No charge for the service - just the cost of the items, added to that month's bill!
SALON
Cut, color, perm, wash, set - just stop by the Salon to make your appointment. We can even add the charge to your monthly bill for ultimate convenience.
GUEST APARTMENT
Fully-furnished two-bedroom apartment for your out-of-town visitors, so you don't have to worry about having room for overnight guests. Breakfast and use of the Wellness Center included.
PODIATRY SERVICE
Sign up for a time slot with our visiting podiatrist at our foot clinic, held approximately every six weeks and billed directly to Medicare.
