Put on your holly, break out the jolly and get ready to jingle all the way. You, your friends and your loved ones are cordially invited to “The Spirit of the Season” Holiday Open House at Melrose Meadows. Join us on Thursday, December 13 from 1:30-3:30 as we open our doors to get you into the holiday swing of things.
This year, visitors will be encouraged to get in the “spirit” of the season as they tour our community’s common rooms. Each room is decorated with a different Christmas theme and will each feature a signature “spirited” drink (along with non-alcoholic tipples for kiddies and designated drivers). You’ll also get to nosh on Culinary Coordinator Jim’s famous whole smoked salmon, as well as tons of scrumptious house-made appetizers and desserts.
“What better way to get into the holiday spirit than by celebrating with our Iowa City community?” says Meghan Adam, Marketing Coordinator at Melrose Meadows. “Over the years, our open house has become a much-loved tradition in the area – in fact, every year before we announce the date, we get phone calls asking when it will be! It’s a perfect time for the Melrose Meadows family to show off our community and our signature Melrose hospitality, and we hope to see you there!”
For senior individuals (and their families) who have been considering moving to an independent living community, this event will be a great opportunity to take a tour (guided or on your own), view open apartments, chat with residents and staff and simply get a feel for what life is like here.
